1819 Esplanade Avenue is a notable property on one of the oldest streets in New Orleans, Louisiana. Constructed in 1892, this three-story Renaissance Revival villa has served various roles throughout its existence.
Esplanade Avenue itself is a historic street in New Orleans, running northwest from the Mississippi River to Beauregard Circle at the entrance to City Park. It has been an important thoroughfare since the 18th century and is lined with many 19th-century mansions, reflecting its past as a “millionaires row”. 
The neighborhood, where 1819 Esplanade Avenue is situated, is one of the oldest neighborhoods in the United States. It has a rich cultural history, particularly in the development of jazz music, and has been home to a diverse population since its establishment in the late 18th century.
